About Amelia
I've had over two years of experience in tutoring English with the Webb School of Knoxville Writing Center and the ENGin Program, and I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in English and Comparative Literature. I love teaching, and am incredibly passionate about providing the unique curriculum and resources each of my students need to succeed. I also make it a priority to be available outside of regular class hours to answer any on-the-go questions or provide writing feedback on short notice.

I get to know my students and build a personalized, adaptable curriculum to suit their individual learning goals. This highly personal approach, as well as my 2+ years of experience in tutoring English (including English writing, reading, and ACT prep), make me the perfect tutor for you. I've also worked as an ESL tutor for ENGin, so am able to provide English tutoring to non-native speakers. I am also a published author and a member of the National English Honor Society, and have won several nationally recognized writing awards, including a silver medal with NSAW and a creative challenge award from NEHS. My lessons are ideal for anyone grades 6-12 who is seeking personalized and individually structured tutoring in English, which includes creative writing, essay writing, grammar, ACT English and Reading, reading comprehension, and other English skills.
