About Rithvik

I'm a 3rd year Electrical and Computer Engineering student at the University of Washington, and I bring the same discipline I use in my own technical work into how I teach.

Alongside my coursework, I've worked as an AI Research Intern, where I handle detailed, accuracy-focused data analysis daily, and I lead the firmware team for a 45+ member engineering club at UW, coordinating embedded systems projects.

Outside of my formal roles, I'm especially interested in PCB design and computer vision, and I've built several hands-on hardware projects applying both, including sensor-based robotics and gesture-controlled systems.

This background means I don't just know the math and physics I teach, I actively use it, which lets me explain concepts with real, concrete examples rather than abstract theory alone.

About the lesson

My teaching method centers on breaking down complex math and physics concepts into small, manageable steps, then reinforcing them through a high volume of practice problems.

I've found that repetition, done correctly, builds both understanding and speed, so a typical lesson starts with a quick concept review, moves into guided practice where I walk through problems step by step, and finishes with independent problems to check retention.

I adjust my pace based on how quickly a student grasps new material, rather than following a fixed schedule. What sets me apart is that I focus on making sure a student can actually solve problems on their own by the end of a session, not just follow along.

My lessons are best suited for middle school through high school students working on math (Algebra through AP Calculus) and physics (including AP Physics), especially those preparing for exams or looking to build stronger problem solving confidence.
