About Elia
I think maths is a misunderstood subject. We tend to think we're either maths people or not, but I don't think that's the case. I was certainly flipped into a 'maths person' by an incredible teacher that boosted my confidence and I hope to do the same for you! I've been tutoring for 2 years now, starting off with friends and then some younger IGCSE students too. I love to tutor because of the moment when the student clicks; it's the most rewarding part.
Apart from academics and tutoring, I spend my time baking and playing basketball, two things I often like to create scenarios about during class to help you understand things, so definitely let me know if you enjoy them too!

After tutoring both peers and younger students, I've found that the best way to secure top grades is to attempt questions from your specific exam board. By finding different approaches and perspectives on each one, whilst also going on tangents to make sure there are no missing pieces in the theory, I feel like the student then gains the confidence as well as the skills to assess each question alone. The truth is: A-level, IGCSE, and SAT questions are pretty repetitive. They don't seem to be at first, but I've found that once you understand what the question asks, it's just a matter of following certain steps and tricks. I'm here to help you find the clues in the question that guide you to which steps or tricks to use.
