About Matthew
I am an enthusiastic young man who enjoys helping others, communicating with both individuals and groups of people, and conveying my ideas in a way that I believe is fun and interesting. In my free time, I write and perform stand-up comedy, which is evidence of my experience in presenting myself to groups of people in an entertaining fashion. It is these perceived strengths that have led me to become interested in pursuing a career in education, as I believe such qualities would be instrumental in helping children engage with the work that they have to do.
I'm interested in sports, music, and video games, all of which are interests I could use to build a rapport with my students and help engage them with their work; although parents need not worry, I would dedicate maybe five minutes of my teaching time to this and spend the rest of the time acting as professionally as you would hope.

I am a recently-graduated Aerospace Engineering student from the University of Southampton with a strong desire to help secondary school students who are struggling particularly with Maths, but am also willing to help with Physics. The length of my tutorials can be either 30 minutes or a full hour; 30 minute sessions would typically be more focused on sections of the syllabus that the student feels are particularly weak areas for them personally, while hour-long sessions would also offer a broader but less in-depth explanation of entire topics.
