About Jenny
I am a professional Spanish tutor with 20+ years of experience helping High School and College students achieve their language learning goals. My teaching philosophy is based on personalised learning because I understand that every student has different strengths, interests, and ways of learning. I take the time to understand each student's needs before creating lessons that help them progress with confidence and consistency. My aim is to make every class enjoyable, practical, and focused on long-term success.
My lessons cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, speaking, and conversational Spanish. I use clear explanations, interactive activities, practical exercises, and real-life conversations to help students understand the language naturally. Instead of simply memorising grammar rules, students learn how to communicate effectively in everyday situations. This practical approach helps them build confidence while improving both accuracy and fluency.
One of my unique strengths is my ability to encourage students who may feel nervous about learning a new language. I create a welcoming and supportive environment where students are comfortable asking questions, practising new skills, and learning from mistakes. I provide regular feedback and personalised study suggestions so every learner continues making steady progress.
I also introduce students to Spanish-speaking cultures by discussing traditions, customs, and everyday expressions. This helps students appreciate the language while improving their communication skills. My Spanish teaching methodology focuses on motivation, clear communication, creativity, and effective time management to provide a complete learning experience. I motivate students by understanding their needs and helping them stay confident and consistent in their learning.
Communication is a key part of my teaching, so I encourage students to actively speak and practise Spanish in every class. I use creative techniques like games, real-life examples, and interactive activities to make lessons interesting and easy to follow. I plan each class with proper time management so that students can learn grammar, vocabulary, and speaking skills in a balanced way.
I also teach students how to manage their own study time and practise regularly. Along with Spanish, I can also teach related subjects like basic grammar, pronunciation, and language learning skills. My goal is to help students learn Spanish in a simple, structured, and enjoyable way.
