About Elena
I am a certified Ontario elementary school teacher. I have been teaching for 3 years in various grades and roles throughout Niagara. I have experience in tutoring students in Reading, specifically students with Learning Disabilities. I am also able to tutor in the subjects of Writing, and Math. I love seeing the "lightbulb" moments and watching students gain confidence as their skills improve. I have additional qualifications in Special Education as well as Teaching with Technology.

My goal is for students to enjoy their lessons as they are learning. I strive to use material that is of interest to the student and try to connect with them through fun but educational tools. My sessions are meant to aid students who have fallen behind or are wanting to get ahead for the school year. I begin by assessing the abilities of the student and determining where their strengths and needs lie. From there I create a program specific to that student.
