I am an experienced elementary and resource teacher who is passionate about supporting young learners. My Approach as a Tutor
My approach as a tutor focuses on building confidence through clear, supportive instruction. As an experienced elementary and resource teacher, I meet students where they are and adjust lessons to match their needs, pace, and learning style.
Teaching Methodology
I use structured, explicit teaching with guided practice. Skills are broken into manageable steps, and I regularly check for understanding. I use visuals, repetition, and clear explanations to support learning in an online setting.
A Typical Online Lesson
Lessons begin with a brief check-in and review, followed by focused work on one key skill such as reading, phonics, math, or homework support. We practice together with feedback throughout and end with a short recap and next steps.
What Sets Me Apart
My background as a resource teacher and Reading Recovery teacher allows me to effectively support students who need extra time, flexibility, or different strategies. I specialize in one-to-one support and confidence building.
