About Ryan
I am a Electrical Engineering student at Stellenbosch. In high school I completed the first year Math curriculum for my current University course. I tutored Math and AP Math in High school. I finished both my final year and Grade 11in top 3 for Mathematics. In Grade 11I achieved 98% for Math two terms in a row. I am very driven and passionate. Helping students find their love for Mathematics has always been a goal of mine.

I only ever started doing really well with my Math in the latter half of Grade 10. I usually achieved average marks (~60%). I wanted to improve. So I decided to change my view of Math. Most students treat math like any other "memory" subject, and that i realized was the problem. To do well at Math we cannot rely purely on memory. We need to have a good UNDERSTANDING of the basics and the relevant concepts. I emphasize understanding because its the most important factor, if not the only factor, that can improve your ability. My goal is to make sure my students don't resort to memory in an exam but rather understanding.
With my lessons I intend to help my students truly understand what they are doing. The basic concepts will be heavily reinforced. At the end of each lesson, my students will not "know" , rather they will understand- to the very foundation.
