About Sonya
I have a Bachelors in Engineering Physics and Masters of Electrical Engineering from Carleton University. I have 4 years of experience teaching and tutoring. I like to make concepts and theories understandable, and assist you building your problem solving skills. I work with students who are struggling with concepts, with the goal of improving understanding and performance. I don't take on A students looking for A+.

I use a empathetic approach which involves asking specific questions to help you make connections. There is no judgment or possibility of failing here, take a guess we will build on that!
It is helpful to start by letting me know what topic you are struggling in (ex. intro to electronics, or optics) and if it is the theory, or problem solving, or both that is confusing. Then we will start with what last made sense and was working for you and build on that.
