About Gabriel

Hello, my name is Gabriel Vieira and I'm here to help you!

I am now studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico.

As a high school student in the field of science and technology, I studied at Colégio Pedro Arrupe with Mathematics (10th to 12th), Physics and Chemistry (10th and 11th), Biology and Geology (10th and 11th), Chemistry (12th) and Computer Applications B (12th) as choice subjects.

As a high school music student, I studied at Academia de Música de Lisboa, covering both solo and group violin performance, as well as theoretical subjects in the areas of composition, improvisation, history and music theory.

In 2024 I took the Cambridge Proficiency Exam, passing with 212 points.

I've always enjoyed keeping my horizons wide open and expanding my knowledge in multiple areas, which is why I've always enjoyed studying both fields simultaneously. I also enjoy participating in extracurricular and volunteer projects, having participated in and coordinated musical theater projects, students union, and Food Bank campaigns.

Having studied in a less traditional way, I am open to alternative teaching methods and believe that we do not all learn in the same way and that the teaching method should be adapted to the needs of each student.

I don't believe that grades are the best way to evaluate knowledge, much less the ability to transmit it to another person. However, as our evaluation system is based on this type of standard, I leave my grades here (0 to 20):

High School CT: 18.5

High School Music: 17.4

About the lesson

I am available to guide students in their regular study, provide exercises of appropriate difficulty, prepare tests, exams and tests.

I use exercises from various sources and publishers and am very familiar with the content of the national physics and chemistry exam.

I learned at a school with an integrative teaching method based on interdisciplinarity, so I am quite flexible in the methodologies I use, trying to get closer to the students.
