About Alba

My name is Alba, I am 37 years old, I am an ELE teacher and official examiner in DELE exams by the Instituto Cervantes. I graduated in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona, I completed the Master of Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary, Baccalaureate, Languages and Vocational Training. My training has always been focused on language teaching and I did my training as an ELE teacher (Teacher of Spanish as a foreign language) at International House (Barcelona). My working career has always been focused on teaching, since it is my passion. I started working as a Spanish teacher for foreigners nine years ago and took the official exam courses at the Instituto Cervantes, being part of the examining team and taking various courses focused on preparing for the DELE exams.

About the lesson

I firmly believe that learning a foreign language means learning not only the language itself, but also the social and cultural aspects of the country where it is spoken as a mother tongue. To achieve efficient progress, I focus on combining language learning (linguistic and grammatical content) with the practice and cultural aspects of Spanish society. I use up-to-date teaching methods to develop students' comprehension skills and oral and written skills. Through a wide range of activities, dynamics and exercises adapted to your level. I have completed specialized training in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and use a variety of updated approaches to design courses to meet your unique needs, interests, and goals. For the preparation of DELE exams, first of all it is necessary to have a complete knowledge of the exam itself (parts, tasks, time ...) knowing all its parts and working each one of them. In the preparation courses all skills are worked on: Reading comprehension, auditing, written and oral expression. Different exams are carried out together with their correction and monitoring.
