About Katherine
I provide English language lessons tailored to adults and children seeking to enhance their communication skills for academic, personal, or professional success or to score well on standardized tests, including the TOEFL and IELTS and the reading and writing sections of the SAT and GRE. With a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) earned in 2006 and two decades of experience, I bring a wealth of expertise in helping students achieve fluency and confidence in their English, writing, and test-taking skills. My career has spanned international and multicultural contexts, having lived and taught in Venezuela, China, Korea, and Saudi Arabia. These experiences have given me unique insights into the challenges of using English effectively in diverse environments. I’ve worked with adult learners at esteemed institutions like the University of Florida, the University of Pennsylvania, and Portland State University in the United States, as well as Sogang University and Korea University in Korea.
