About Emily
I’m a friendly and enthusiastic Education with Psychology student at the University of Bath, passionate about helping children become confident and enthusiastic learners.
I have gained hands-on experience working with children in primary schools, including as a Year 1 classroom assistant and Year 6 reading volunteer, as well as experience in nursery and SEND settings.
I understand that every child learns differently, so I aim to create supportive, enjoyable lessons tailored to their individual needs. Whether your child needs extra help with reading, phonics, comprehension or English, I want them to leave each session feeling more confident in their abilities.

My approach is friendly, patient and personalised to each child. I use a mixture of reading practice, questioning, phonics activities and games to make lessons engaging while building confidence and skills.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes, depending on the child’s age and needs. I focus on creating a relaxed environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.
I am currently studying Education with Psychology at the University of Bath and have experience supporting children as a Year 1 classroom assistant, nursery worker, Year 6 reading volunteer and in SEND settings.
I offer lessons for primary-aged children, particularly those needing extra support with reading, phonics, comprehension, spelling and general English.
