About Jim
My name is Mathibe Jim Tshepang, and I'm an undergraduate student at Sol Plaatjie University. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you and help you achieve your math goals. As a student myself, I understand the challenges that come with learning math. In fact, I was inspired to become a math tutor after my own experience in grade 10, when our school didn't have a math teacher. Despite the difficulties, I took it upon myself to learn and then teach my classmates. This experience not only deepened my understanding of math but also instilled in me a passion for teaching and helping others. As your tutor, I promise to bring the same level of dedication and enthusiasm to our sessions. I'll work with you to identify areas where you need improvement and develop a personalized plan to help you succeed. My goal is not only to help you master math concepts but also to build your confidence and develop a growth mindset. Methodology and Uniqueness
As a math tutor, my approach is centered around making math simple, fun, and accessible to all students. I believe that every student learns differently, and I tailor my lessons to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. My methodology is based on breaking down complex math concepts into easy-to-understand pieces, using real-world examples and interactive exercises to make learning engaging and enjoyable. What sets me apart as a teacher is my patience, empathy, and ability to explain complex math concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Typical Lesson
A typical lesson with me begins with a brief review of the student's previous work and a discussion of their goals and objectives. We then dive into the lesson, which may include interactive exercises, problem-solving, and review of key math concepts. Throughout the lesson, I provide feedback, guidance, and support to ensure the student understands the material. At the end of the lesson, we review what was covered and set goals for the next lesson.

My hourly rate for online math tutoring is R200. This rate includes:
- One-on-one tutoring with me, tailored to your specific needs and goals
- Access to additional resources, such as worksheets and practice problems
- Regular progress updates and feedback
Since we'll be meeting online, you don't have to worry about any additional costs for renting a room or equipment. All you need is a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.
