About Isobel
My background is in Education Studies, but more specifically focused on the primary and early years. I am currently undertaking a PGCE course, and early next year I will be a qualified primary teacher. I'm hoping to use this platform as a way of sharing my love of education with others - using what I have been taught and putting it into practice with whoever I am tutoring.
At the moment, I am teaching in a school and experiencing seeing the progress of my pupils. Though I am only a trainee teacher, the experience I have within the classroom has provided me with skills that I can bring into online tutoring, with a much greater focus on the individual.

My method of teaching is to allow my pupils to have autonomy over how they learn; I want them to be able to develop a deeper understanding of the subject I am teaching, but to love what they are learning at the same time. Learning should be enjoyable! It shouldn't mundane or a drag, and that's why I want to share my passion and enthusiasm with my students.
My approach to teaching is that each student is an individual - there is no one size-fits-all when it comes to learning. It is essential I get to know you - when you request a lesson with me, the first one will be completely free and it will be a session to simply establish what your goals are and how we will go about working towards them. Secondly, I find that it is my responsibility as a tutor to bring out the very best in you - including your confidence. My hope is that we can work together to do that.
