About Xiaolan

Previously, I completed my bachelor's and master's degree both in education in China and the UK, where I learned basic and specific knowledge in education. My teaching history spans various levels, from primary to junior middle levels in China's 12-year school system to adult learners across three private education institutions. This diverse background facilitated a nuanced grasp of language teaching, allowing me to deploy effective techniques like Phonics and the Situational Approach. These methods proved instrumental in sparking my students' language interest. Since 2016, my role as a Mandarin private tutor for non-Mandarin speakers has been a source of profound satisfaction. Tailoring my approach to accommodate diverse learning needs, I've successfully delivered engaging and interactive lessons both online and in-person. As a part-time Mandarin tutor, adapting to individual preferences has been paramount, fostering an immersive educational environment. Witnessing the tangible progress of my students has perpetuated my enthusiasm for teaching. Moreover, I have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office package and Video editing software since I received the Certificate of National Computer Level 1 and National Teacher Qualification Certificate (China). In a nutshell, as far as I am concerned, I love teaching and always keep passion in it, because education is the base of the bright future of the whole world. I would like to put myself in education forever!
