About Alicia

Hello! I’m Dr. Liang Wang, and I’m passionate about helping students reach their full potential in economics, statistics, and research methods. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Concordia University and a Master’s in Statistics from Capital University of Economics and Business. I’ve taught and tutored university-level courses for several years, and I specialize in making complex topics clear, relatable, and engaging. With experience as a Senior Analyst at the central bank and a postdoctoral researcher in health economics, I bring real-world insight to my teaching. I’ve also led experimental economics projects and survey-based research, so I enjoy guiding students through data analysis, academic writing, and critical thinking.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is patient, student-centred, and tailored to each learner’s needs. Whether you're preparing for exams, tackling research projects, or just trying to understand economic models or statistical techniques better, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Let’s work together to build your confidence and mastery—learning can be challenging, but with the right support, it can also be rewarding and fun!

Alicia is a really great tutor. She knows so much about the subject and is very patient and thoughtful when she teaches. She uses simple language to explain things, which makes it much easier for me to learn. She's also great at helping me when I get things wrong. I feel like she does more than just tutor; she's more like a professor. Thank you so much.
