About Lola

I'm Lola, I'm 20 years old and studying at the University of Manchester. I first found my love for tutoring in college, studying A Levels and I would organise and lead group revision sessions with friends. Since then, I have gone on to do over a year's worth of tutoring for an agency, in that year I tutored many different age groups and subjects which allowed me to adapt and modify my teaching techniques to the student's specific needs.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Lola, I am an undergraduate student at the University of Manchester studying economics and politics. I have over a year's experience tutoring for a private agency and my clients saw huge leaps in their academic careers. My Sessions - typically a 1-hour session - online, taking place via Google Meet - interactive and engaging - I use an iPad so we can view my screen and also draw/write/explain any necessary details - for younger years I ensure sessions are colourful, fun and varied to maintain engagement My Experience and achievements - at GCSE I achieved 6 x grade 9s (maths, English language, geography, chemistry, physics and biology), 2 x grade 8s (English literature and computer science) and 1 grade 7 (Spanish) - At A Level I received A*A*A (politics, economics and geography) - Completed first-year maths and statistics modules both with 1st class marks - over a year's experience tutoring a range of ages from 6-18 - client (year 2) received multiple awards for maths - client (year 4) achieved their pen licence - client (year 7) went up 2 sets in maths - client (year 8) saw an increase in points in tests on average of 15 marks

Lola has tutored my daughter from age 6, although I was apprehensive starting this still quite young, Lola has been amazing and so engaging to keep my daughters attention, which can be quite difficult.

Lola makes each session fun and varied.

We have seen amazing results within her school reports.

The school have commented on how much confidence she has gained and they can see a vast improvement which is all credit to Lola.
