About Jale
I am passionate about supporting tamariki as they begin their journey into literacy and learning. Teaching has always been more than a profession for me—it is a calling grounded in my belief that every child deserves encouragement, guidance, and opportunities to grow. I love creating meaningful, engaging, and supportive learning experiences that help tamariki build confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation for future success.

Through my years of teaching, I have observed and understood how young tamariki learn to read effectively. I support phonemic awareness, early reading skills, and language development through interactive activities, songs, games, and hands-on digital resources. My lessons typically run for less than 30 minutes and are tailored to each child’s age, interests, and learning goals. I have teaching qualifications and have been a teacher for 13 years. I also hold a master’s degree in Special Education, and I am currently completing a Master of Teaching in Early Childhood Education in New Zealand. My lessons are designed for young learners who are developing early literacy skills or who would benefit from personalised, one-to-one support in phonics, language development, and reading readiness.
