I am able to supply support to students who are just starting out in the arts to an undergrad/postgrad level. I believe in creating a collaborative environment, so that I can better cater to the individual needs and aspirations of each student.
I have been working as an artist, writer and tutor for the past 8 years. I have worked with students from a wide range of artistic backgrounds and skill levels. I try to supply guidance and encouragement that allows for them to excel.
In 2018 I graduated with my BFA from Michaelis School of fine art with a high distinction. I received the Simon Gerson Prize for an outstanding body of work for my exhibition “Bite an Intellectual and all you’ll taste is Dog Biscuit”. While studying, I mastered various physical and digital design and art disciplines that inform the work I do today. I am currently working toward completing my MFA at Michaelis.
I was an assistant to artist and ceramicist Katherine Glenday in her retrospective exhibition This Personal and this Particular.
I worked as a writing assistant and artist for playwright and political activist Peter Dutoit.
I worked as an assistant curator for the photographic exhibition Images of a Threatened Wilderness by the late Tom Burgers.
I have written various articles for the arts publication Adjective Magazine.
I have worked as a studio assistant for Cape Town based artist Karen Stewart.
I created a visual compendium for aiding in the psychological health of teachers in collaboration with writer Emelia Steenekamp that has featured in the online publication Datableed.
I have exhibited works at Eclectica Contemporary and The Plot gallery among others.
