About Purva
To learn a language, it is important to list the vocabulary to use words to express, grammar to sound technically correct and then the intonation and softer tools to sound natural or in the flow with a language.
For your mother or any student per say, create a list of vocabulary everyday of words which are most commonly used in our everyday life, don't use a dictionary to explain the meaning of it (since that makes your mind handicapped to think in that language), instead explain the words in context to the learner, use reference of other known languages to enhance the logic of context when necessary. Simultaneously, introduce her to lessons of grammar to make her understand the difference or similarities between the new language and the language known earlier.
