About Taj
I’ve been programming in C# and .NET for about 20 years, working mainly on web applications in ASP.NET. I really enjoy side projects in Lisp and functional programming, and lately I’ve been learning Python and exploring how compilers work — the deeper mechanics behind code fascinate me. I’ve always loved helping friends understand programming concepts, especially when a tricky idea finally clicks. That’s part of why I’m drawn to tutoring: it’s rewarding to help someone see not just how code works, but why.

I’ve been programming for 20 years in the .NET world — C#, ASP.NET, and related technologies. I’ve built and maintained applications in a few different professional settings, and I really enjoy figuring out how to express logic in code in a way that’s readable, structured, and thoughtful. For fun, I explore side projects in Lisp and functional programming, enjoy diving into compilers, and I’m currently learning Python.
I’ve also done some tutoring at my local school community co-op and helped friends with computer science classes. I like to guide students step by step, ask questions that get them thinking, and help them start building their own intuition. My goal is to make challenges feel manageable and engaging, so they can begin seeing how problem solving can click.
What I love most about tutoring is that “aha!” moment — when someone suddenly understands a programming concept for the first time, like how a loop actually works, and they see how all the pieces fit together. Beyond just the basics, I like sharing some of the wisdom I’ve picked up over the years — how to think through problems, communicate ideas effectively, and approach challenges with care and curiosity. Helping students build not just skill, but confidence, is honestly what makes it all worth it.
