About Stanzi
I studied English Literature, History, and Theatre Studies at A-level, and I am currently studying BA History at Durham University. These subjects strengthened my analytical thinking, essay writing, and ability to communicate ideas clearly, all of which are central to my tutoring.
I want to teach because I understand how challenging academic subjects can feel without the right support. Building confidence played a major role in my own success, particularly in History, where feeling comfortable engaging with the material helped me achieve an A*. This experience motivates me to help other students develop belief in their abilities alongside strong academic skills.
I aim to create a supportive and approachable learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I enjoy working closely with students, adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles, and helping them make steady progress towards their goals. My focus is not only on improving grades, but also on building confidence and independence that students can carry forward in their studies.

My lessons are structured, supportive, and fully personalised to each student. A key focus of my tutoring is building confidence, as this was the main factor that helped me raise my own A-level History grade to an A*. I believe students perform best when they feel comfortable asking questions and expressing ideas, and I aim to create a relaxed, encouraging learning environment.
Lessons are tailored to individual goals and can focus on exam technique, essay structure, content understanding, or source analysis. I use clear explanations, guided practice, and discussion to help students develop strong historical thinking skills and independence.
Lessons typically last one hour, though this is flexible depending on the student’s needs. I am a BA History student at Durham University with an A* in A-level History, and I have experience tutoring younger students and helping them achieve their target grades.
My lessons are suitable for students studying History at GCSE, A-level, or lower secondary levels.
