About Christo
I am recognized internationally as a master Drummer/Percussionist, Teaching Artist, and accomplished Recording Artist, with over 40 years playing experience. I have over 20 years teaching experience, both privately, and over 6 years as a Teaching Artist for hundreds of students in both classroom, after school music programs, and music camps.
I teach various styles of drumming including Rock, R&B, Jazz, Fusion, and World Music. My percussion instruction skills cover fundamentals of Latin, Mid East, African, and Brazilian styles.
I also created a unique drumming curriculum "Rhythmagic" and a “Hybrid Drumset “ process combining drumset and hand percussion.

I work with beginning, intermediate, and advanced students, all ages. My teaching approach includes enhancing listening skills, personal style development, fundamentals of reading and technique, improvising, recitals, playing songs, soloing, and ensemble/ band playing. Im motivated and have a passion for seeing my students gain confidence, self esteemed, and personal expression, while they enjoy, grow, and improve playing drums and percussion. I teach in person and online.
