My career highlights include performing live at numerous venues, imparting musical knowledge to children and young adults, and regularly recording with a diverse range of musicians. My skills and experiences make me a valuable asset in any musical setting.

About the lesson

My professional background is anchored in the performing arts, a passion that was nurtured from a young age in my musically inclined household. With a warm and easy-going personality, I am enthusiastic about life. Having established myself as a professional musician at a young age, I discovered my love for teaching. I now consider myself as a leader and a mentor to my current students.
With a wealth of experience as a drum mentor in various music schools across Dublin Ireland, I have consistently inspired, motivated, and encouraged people. I am eager to bring this same passion and dedication to you.
My teaching philosophy is that within music we learn a language that can be used as an outlet to make sense of our lives. Mentoring people on their musical journey by giving them the skills to understand the importance of rhythm in music and life. Flow is paramount in my lessons, the drums become a primal feeling and boost the mood of anyone that comes through the door.
I am passionate about making learning experiences creative, diverse, inclusive, and
I hold a 2:1 BA degree in Media Production Management, an HND in Music Management, Event Organization, and another HND in Contemporary Music Performance.

Perfect! Harrison had a fantastic first lesson with Sam. Sam had a very encouraging and engaging personality and he made Harrison feel very comfortable from the outset. It was a fun and relaxed lesson and Harrison was really looking forward to his next session the minute it finished.. Sam has the perfect personality and way of teaching that makes it fun and informative, I would highly recommend

Harrison got on great in our first lesson. He was very easy to understand patterns, we played a two part harmony and Harrison was able to keep in time and keep up a consistent tempo. Learning beats was a bit more complex so we’ll gradually introduce that by using all the limbs as time goes by. It’s important for him to get into a flow of playing then introduce different methods that are fun but also a challenge! Nice to meet you guys, see you at the next lesson.
