About Music
I’m a full-time music teacher and multi-instrumentalist with over a decade of experience working across schools, community projects, and private tuition.
My focus is on helping students build confidence through rhythm and musical expression, particularly on the drum kit.
I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, including SEN, PRU, and mainstream students, adapting my approach to suit different learning styles and abilities.
Alongside teaching, I’ve built a career in the creative industry as a performer, producer, and workshop facilitator, bringing practical, real-world experience into lessons.

My lessons are focused on helping students build real confidence on the drum kit from the very beginning.
Sessions are structured but relaxed, combining technique, coordination, and groove so students can play along to music early on.
A typical lesson lasts 30–60 minutes and includes warm-ups, core skills (timing, sticking, coordination), and applying these to real beats and songs, with a strong focus on feel and musicality.
I teach beginners and intermediate students, including children and adults, and adapt lessons to suit different learning styles — including those who benefit from additional support.
I also support students working towards Rockschool grades where appropriate, while keeping lessons engaging and practical.
I’m DBS checked and currently teach music in schools, so lessons are well-structured, supportive, and designed to help students make steady, enjoyable progress.
