About Kyle
I'm a graduate of two of the UK's top Drama Schools and I've trained in various forms of acting throughout Europe. Most notably at the Grotowski Institute in Wroclaw, Poland.
As I'm curious about human beings, thoughts, feelings and emotions and have a keen interest in psychology and philosophy, I combined my actor training with psychotherapy. Becoming an HCPC registered Arts Therapist: Dramatherapist in 2015.
Since then I have run the Children and Young Peoples Dramatherapy Service for the Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre, and continued to train, teach and direct actors for Identity School of Acting. Including auditioning their prospective students from all over the world.
I'm based in Glasgow, where I work in private practice as a psychotherapist and continue to coach actors online and in person.

“Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances.” Sanford Meisner.
Lessons are aimed at getting you to stop judging and commenting on what you're doing. To press pause on those thoughts that creep in to your mind when you're acting and that stop you being present.
To do that, we work with intimacy and connection to what you are actually feeling, sensing, thinking in the moment- not what you're pretending to do.
On the flip side, we use exercises that are big, bolshy and loud. The aim being to get you out of your own head and to stop trying to be clever with the way you say your lines.
Somewhere in between those two points is the REAL YOU. Find that and you'll get work or into Drama School.
One-to-one lessons typically last 1 hour but can be more. Scene work with a partner is also available.
Central Glasgow office space.
Acting classes are for ages 17+.
