About John

I am a writer, director, teacher and LAMDA Examiner based in Worcestershire. I have a PGCE in teaching Drama and have been teaching LAMDA for over 8 years now. I have taught over 60 individual students and have a 100% success rate with 95% of students achieving a Merit/Distinction grade. I have also taught at a range of Primary and Secondary schools in Worcestershire and Birmingham.

About the lesson

I believe in making learning as fun as possible for students. I have been praised for my ability to form relationships with students and finding ways to teach to engage all students. I specialise in audition and exam prep and writing help. Also, being a director allows me to understand the industry and how actors need to fit into it.

John tutored my daughter in preparation for her auditions to drama and dance school. He was very helpful and worked with her for about 2 months, helping her pick a suitable monologue and talking her through the process of auditions.
