About Michele Davide

I am a doctoral researcher in analytic philosophy at the University of Geneva, where I also obtained my MA. Before pursuing my studies in Geneva, I obtained a BA in Letters and Philosophy at the University of Turin and a classical maturity (Liceo Classico) in Parma. I am very passionate about language, grammar and teaching at all levels. I have +10 years of experience in teaching Italian at all levels.

About the lesson

My courses are structured around the specific needs of the students. I am very creative and flexible and after a first exploratory meeting I have always been able to prepare courses targeting very specific individual requirements. Thanks to my classical education I can, if desired, guite the students towards a hight level mastery of the vocabulary based on an understanding of the Greek and Latin roots of the Italian language. I offer useful comparisons between the Italian grammar and the grammar of other languages in which I'm proficient such as English, French and Spanish. My knowledge of Italian cinema and literature allows me to suggest movies and readings to integrate the teaching.

I studied a little Italian at school but I lost a lot of it since then. Michele really helped me not just to regain my former level of Italian but to improve on it, and also to improve my confidence in conversation. He's also friendly and thoughtful, and very easy to talk to, whilst at the same time being very very smart.
