About Sara
I am a Senior Lecturer in Communications and Media with over 10 years’ experience teaching, supervising, and mentoring undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.
I hold a PhD in Communication Science and have extensive international teaching and research experience. My expertise includes digital culture, media, communication theory, and research methods, and I have designed and delivered courses across a range of academic contexts.
Alongside teaching, I am an active researcher and published author specialising in digital media, migration, and technology. This allows me to bring current, real-world perspectives into my tutoring, helping students connect theory with contemporary issues while developing critical and independent thinking skills.
Passionate and approachable, I have a strong ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear and engaging way. I tailor lessons to each student’s learning style, helping build both confidence and understanding.
Whether you’re preparing for exams, catching up on challenging topics, aiming for top grades, applying for postgraduate/doctoral study, or developing a research project, I offer personalised guidance tailored to your needs.

Hi there, welcome to my page!
My name is Sara, an Associate Professor with a wealth of experience teaching and working in the Uk and internationally.
My tutoring approach is student-centred, thoughtfully structured, and highly adaptable. Every lesson is carefully tailored to suit your learning style; regular feedback and targeted recap sessions are embedded into each lesson to support your progress and build confidence.
What should you expect from me? I have supervised hundreds of BA and MA dissertations and successfully helped my students achieve the grade they wanted. I have supported students from all grades and walks of life reaching their best outcomes, whether through help with applications, statements or academic works. As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, I am proud to consider myself an innovator in pedagogical practice and teaching.
Alongside this, I have served as a Programme Director for BA and MA courses, and have designed and delivered digital ethnography and research methods training internationally.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with the option of 90-minute sessions for more in-depth exploration or focused exam preparation.
