About Amber

I am a mom to two kids, my oldest daughter is my first guinea pig into the world of music teaching. She has won many awards with her own euphonium/baritone skills, and she is an amazing artist. My son plays the piano and wows me every day with his ear, quite soon I plan on signing him up for a competition.

About the lesson

I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in December 2019 with a Bachelor of Music, where I focused on instrumental music. My diverse skills include playing tuba, baritone, euphonium, trombone, and trumpet, though the oboe remains a mystery to me!

In the Spring of 2018, I had the enriching experience of studying abroad in London, diving into music theory with a unique blend of Handel’s Water Music and Jimi Hendrix.

I also have a strong background in voice, having studied at Hill College and performed in various choirs and solo settings.

With over 10 years of experience teaching piano, I’ve developed a teaching philosophy that is centered around each student’s individual needs and passions. Whether you’re interested in voice, piano, low brass, music theory, aural skills, music composition, or orchestration, I’m here to guide you.

My background includes assistant band director roles at Itasca ISD and Hawkins ISD, further enriching my teaching approach.
