I a software developer who has taught various adult education and computer-related courses at PCC and Federal, State, local government agencies, and private businesses of all sizes. My audience size ranges from one to 20-30 people. My daily work as a developer and team leader included mentoring team members on using new technologies and computer languages.

I teach people who wish to get beyond the first hurdles of entering the world of computer programming. I think it important to, as a team, are successful in solving our first problem. My approach is to introduce the student to a day in the work-life of a developer. I first introduce the student and class to a small project which begins with a summary. We discuss expectations and round out the details. Then I introduce basic developer/programmer concepts that apply to the work at hand and the student and I outline steps need to solve.
