About Nima
A first year Dental student, having completed my A Levels in 2024, achieving A*A*A*A in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and EPQ: giving me a strong academic background and a deep understanding of the current exam specifications.
I have two years of tutoring experience at a tuition centre and on online platforms, teaching A level to KS3 students, in both one-to-one and group settings. This experience has exposed me to a wide variety of students all with different learning styles and attitudes, thus making me adaptive in my teaching.
I pride myself on being approachable and patient. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
My goal is to spark a genuine interest and passion in the subject and help students apply this understanding in the way examiners are looking for.

What to expect from my lessons:
My one-hour lessons are carefully structured using a range of evidence-based and engaging teaching strategies, recognising that every student has their own learning preferences.
We begin by first identifying student's weaknesses, by systematically working through the exam specification and testing the student's understanding through summarising or exam questions.
The majority of the lesson is then spent addressing these gaps of knowledge by me first teaching the content and then reinforcing the knowledge through guided and independent exam questions.
To support long-term retention, every lesson begins with a 10-minute active recall warm-up, revisiting previously taught topics. This regular practice consolidates learning, and ensures students continue building on what they have already mastered.
