About Anh
I am a responsible and dedicated tutor who is committed to helping every student reach their academic potential. Currently pursuing a Diploma in Food, Nutrition and Culinary Science at Temasek Polytechnic, I have developed strong discipline, time management, and communication skills that I bring into every lesson.
With experience teaching five secondary school students, I focus not only on improving grades but also on building confidence and independent learning habits. My students have achieved significant progress — including improvements from F9 to A1, D7 to A2, and C5 to B3 within three months — demonstrating my ability to guide students towards real, measurable results.
I take my tutoring role seriously and always come prepared with structured lesson plans, targeted practice, and personalized support based on each student’s needs. My tutoring approach focuses on helping students truly understand History rather than memorising facts. I guide them on how to study effectively, structure their answers, and develop critical thinking skills so they can become independent learners over time.
During lessons, I break down complex topics into simple explanations and use timelines, examples, and exam-style questions to strengthen their answering techniques. I also teach students how to analyse sources, manage their time during exams, and avoid common mistakes that cost marks. Lessons are interactive — I encourage questions and adapt my teaching style based on each student’s pace and learning needs.
A typical lesson lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, which allows enough time for content review, practice questions, and feedback. I also provide guidance on revision strategies before major exams.
I am currently studying Food, Nutrition and Culinary Science at Temasek Polytechnic, and I have experience tutoring five secondary school students. My students have shown strong improvements, including:
Sec 1 student improved from F9 to A1 and is now able to study independently
Helped a Sec 4 student move from C5 to B3 in O-Levels within 3 months
Guided a Sec 3 student from D7 to A2, and she continues to study with me for her O-Levels
My lessons are suitable for Secondary 1 to Secondary 4 students, especially those who want to improve their grades, strengthen answering skills, or build confidence in History.
