About Emmanuel

Confidently set on getting my Theoretical Physics MSci from Imperial College London next year, I'm always looking to go deeper into everything I do. I believe that my background in a French school, moving to the UK, has allowed me to get that bigger picture, having seen two substantially different approaches to education that I plan on using to make the best of your lesson time.

I teach maths and physics at any secondary education level; GCSE, A-levels, and French Baccalaureate

A little bit about my academic portfolio :
19.60/20 average on the french baccalaureate with highest honours, specialized in mathematics. Relevant subject grades are :
- 18/20 in mathematics
- 20/20 in physics-chemistry

About the lesson

Hello there! I’m Emmanuel, currently in my 3rd year of studying theoretical physics in London. If from this you expect that I’m driven by getting to the bottom of things and gaining a deep understanding of my subject, then you’re absolutely right! My aim is to share this enthusiasm and vision with you, whether you just want to pass your exams or are considering going further in the field. Taking exams at school, not only did I find it useful to understand the class, but above all, practising with exercises was really what cemented the concepts, put things in perspective and gave me the confidence to face the exam paper with less stress. This is the mindset I want to set you in by the time your knowledge needs to be tested!

Having done some tutoring in the past I know one thing for sure: everyone has their own way of learning. This is why I want to tailor my sessions specifically to you. Whether you prefer to go through your class notes with a fresh perspective or are looking to be guided through questions, I’ve got you! At the start of every lesson, I intend to set a quick recap of what we will be going through before getting into the core of it. Now consider that these sessions are not intended for passive learning, and my method is to encourage active participation. This is why when we will be solving problems you’ll be the one in charge of advancing and thinking, and I will always be there to guide you through and boost your confidence.

For the lesson format, you can choose either to solve unseen problems, either to be given some homework questions that I will review between sessions, and go through answers during the lesson at your own pace, maybe a little bit of both, or even anything else that you feel comfortable with. In the end, it’s YOUR session! These sessions would be about one hour long and are aimed at students in any school year.
