About Grady
Completing a General Assembly bootcamp served as the catalyst for my 6 years as a software engineer. Conventional wisdom suggests that coding is about typing fast, but I find it is mostly about thinking clearly before you write a single line. I focus on HTML, CSS, and Python to build foundational knowledge.
My work involves guiding adults learning from scratch alongside high-schoolers aiming for CS degrees. I emphasize clean code practices and debugging techniques to build durable skill sets.
Often, I help students navigate interview preparation by solving problems on coding platforms using C++ or Python. I enjoy project-based learning because it bridges the gap between theory and actual application. Outside of the editor, I value the quiet satisfaction of solving a difficult logical puzzle.

Clacking mechanical keyboards fill the room as we begin to map out a new algorithm on the whiteboard. I utilize my 6 years of software engineering practice to demonstrate how to break down complex problems into manageable components.
