About Niri

Hi! My name is Niri Sheth, and I am currently an undergraduate student at Rutgers University, majoring in Psychology and Information Technology and Informatics. I am on a pre-law track, driven by a passion for developing a future where I can assist anyone in need. As a dedicated and knowledgeable tutor, I bring both academic expertise and practical experience to my lessons. I take a student-centered approach, tailoring my teaching style to meet individual needs by simplifying complex concepts with clear explanations, relatable examples, and visual aids. My lessons are interactive and engaging, incorporating discussions, case studies, and problem-solving exercises to deepen understanding. I am particularly skilled at guiding students through research-heavy courses, helping them interpret data and apply critical thinking effectively. With a professional yet approachable style, I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident, motivated, and equipped to excel in their psychology studies.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centered, focusing on simplifying complex topics through clear explanations, relatable examples, and visual aids. I encourage active learning by incorporating discussions, case studies, and problem-solving exercises, making my lessons engaging and effective. A typical session with me would include a brief review, an in-depth exploration of the day’s topic, interactive practice, and a concise wrap-up to reinforce key takeaways. My ability to explain research methods, statistics, and data interpretation makes me particularly strong in tutoring research-heavy psychology courses. As a relatable tutor, I can effectively support high school and undergraduate students, especially those in introductory psychology classes or struggling with research methods and essay writing. My personalized, adaptable teaching style ensures that I meet each student’s unique needs, helping them build confidence and deepen their understanding of psychology.
