About Katie
I’m a second-year Geography student at Durham University. Having lived in both the UK and the UAE, I’ve experienced different cultural environments, and witnessing the rapid urbanisation of Abu Dhabi particularly inspired my interest in pursuing Human Geography at a higher level.
I really enjoyed studying Geography at GCSE, and I understand that exam periods can feel challenging and overwhelming. I’d love to help students navigate this period by making them feel more prepared, confident and comfortable with Geography.

I offer flexible, personalised GCSE Geography tutoring tailored to each student’s individual needs. Lessons can be 40 minutes to 1 hour, depending on what works best for the student and the topics we need to cover.
I can support students across all areas of the GCSE Geography course, including both Human and Physical Geography, as well as the different exam papers and key exam skills.
Before beginning lessons, I’d like to understand the student’s areas of concern, topics they find challenging, and what they would like to improve. We can then use this to create a focused approach, prioritising the areas they need the most support with while building their confidence and understanding.
Where possible I could also offer personalised revision resources such as mind maps and flash cards to aid with revision.
