About Yuvraj

Hi,
I'm Yuvraj Bedi and currently study Artificial Intelligence (Maths and Computer Science) at Imperial College London. I have always enjoyed maths right from primary school and I have a passion for helping others develop their mathematical knowledge and understanding too. I strongly believe that maths is for everyone!

About the lesson

Maths has always been my strong suit and favourite subject at school and I strongly believe it is for everyone and it’s all about confidence and the passion for the subject which really makes it easier!

My teaching style is mainly about getting ahead and covering content in detail with all concepts fully explained. I believe working ahead helps massively as it allows students to be more ready when they cover the same content in their schools and helps develop their maths brains.

I will also offer and strongly recommend homework to the students I teach (the size depends how long the interval between lessons is - usually only 5-10 minutes worth of homework.)
If the student is younger or has very poor mental maths skills, the homework will mostly be some sort of basic maths which they should do in their head and for which they can be monitored by parents.
Mental maths is crucial for developing maths skills and really makes maths easier if basic maths can be understood and done quickly in the head.
Mental maths will only be for the first few weeks.

Apart from this, the homework I usually give is on topics recently covered to ensure the student doesn’t fall behind or forget previously covered topics.
I also like to give questions which combine 2 or more topics together to give students something which is a bit more of a challenge and to really develop their mathematical understanding.

All homework will be offered along with the lessons so will be of no extra charge.

Students can send homework before the lesson so I can mark it before and so we can go through it in the lesson if needed.
