About Miriam
I have had the pleasure of working with K - 12 students for over twenty years across the curriculum. My area of expertise is in any Language Arts area with a focus on reading intervention and writing processes. I enjoy helping students discover their writing skills and gain a clearer understanding from text across various genres. Analyzing and and applying knowledge gained is another area that I focus heavily on when working with my students. I have a passion for these two areas due to my personal struggle with reading at a young age.
I believe that everyone can experience success in the learning process if given the right tools. My goal is to provide those tools and show my learners how to use them to maximize positive academic outcomes.

I constantly provide reading and writing services that improve test scores and provide completed written work that is successful in the classroom and beyond. I believe in not just having an excellent final product but obtaining a comprehensive perspective on how you got there. Therefore, we focus on the why and the how in my instructional process. Self-reflection is a part of my approach to learning as well. This helps you to track your progress and know how you are progressing an a content area.
