About Erick
While I may be a new tutor, my goal is to spread knowledge in a way that fits the student with techniques like the Feynman technique and a more interactive approach to learning. I've been very active in my high school career by doing varsity volleyball, taking ap scholars and IB, shadowing a doctor, joining and creating clubs, and attending other academic courses to expand my knowledge and experience unique places. I love medicine and have a dream of being a doctor which I have planned things to do. For example, I've attended the University of Miami summer scholars program for neuroscience and public health which were both excellent classes to begin my journey to becoming a neurologist.

My lessons can provide useful techniques that are typically not taught in regular classes or schools. The lesson can be tailored to specific homework or course assignments. Instead of being taught by a book or a PowerPoint presentation, the lessons are interactive and can help with a better understanding of concepts to provide long-lasting knowledge. I prefer to use the best scientifically proven way to learn and teach lessons like active recall, the Feynman technique, spaced repetition, and much more. The way a lesson is taught is changed by the subject. For example, math is simply repetition and understanding the basic components of a complex equation/problem. On the other hand, sciences can be either memorization with flashcards or using the Feynman technique to focus on the underlying concepts to gain a better understanding as a whole.
