About Caelen
I'm a dedicated tutor with a passion for helping students succeed across both music and academics. I offer instruction in percussion, music education, and music theory, tailoring each lesson to the individual student's goals, pace, and learning style.
I am currently a university student pursuing my Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a focus in Percussion, which gives me both hands-on performance experience and a strong foundation in how to teach music effectively. In 2025, I marched with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps in Drum Corps International (DCI), one of the most competitive and demanding activities in the marching arts world. That experience sharpened my technical skill, discipline, and work ethic as a percussionist; qualities I bring directly into how I teach.
My approach combines patience with high expectations. I believe every student is capable of real progress when concepts are explained clearly and practiced consistently. Whether we're refining rhythmic technique or working through a theory concept, my focus is on building genuine understanding, not just short-term results.
I take tutoring seriously as a professional responsibility. Lessons are well-prepared, sessions run on time, and I communicate clearly with students and parents about progress and next steps. My goal is simple: to help you (or your student) grow in skill and confidence, one session at a time.
