About Laurie
I am a current UCL undergraduate student born and raised in Hong Kong. I am fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin. Both my primary and secondary studies were done in an English school, so there's no need for you to worry that I cannot communicate with you using English!
I sat for the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and obtained Level 7 or above in all the subjects. I also sat for the International Advanced Level exam and obtained Grade A or above in all subjects.
Although I did not sit for the A Level Chinese exam, I have studied all the required contents of the course.
I have been a tutor for Grades 4 and 5 students and assisted them in their English, Maths and General Studies. I was glad to know that their grades improved over the year.

Teaching approaches vary depending on which method students find comfortable, but it would be better if lessons are more discussion based so that students will be able to have more chances to speak up to practise their Chinese speaking skills.
Each lesson lasts for 1 hour to 1.5 hours; it is up to students to decide.
Classes are for students who are going to sit for (I)GCSE and A Level Chinese, or anyone who would like to learn a new language or improve their Chinese.
