About Maria
I am extremely passionate and encouraging about my subject. Not only do I want my students to do well, I want them to be able to enjoy and have a passion for it. Learning should not feel boring and it should certainly not feel daunting to the student so I will do my utmost best to make any lesson feel stress-free and fun. It's about baby steps towards the end goal not a race; the more you enjoy and immerse yourself into a subject, the better the grade will be. I am also a very sociable and reliable person, who tends to get along with anyone. I was part of my Sixth Form's Head Girl's team and a House Captain. I was also a Music Scholar throughout secondary school and sixth form, as a Grade Cellist and Vocalist. I accomplished full marks in the GCSE coursework aspect as well as the A level Performance aspect. I am freshly starting university this academic year so I still remember how stressful and nerve-wracking it felt to be a GCSE or A level Student! I

I would start by figuring out the main reason why the student isn't grasping the content or technique and work together to find an effective way of remembering and revising. Once the content is grasped, straight on to applying it to exam questions and learning the techniques that the examiners like to see. I would recommend an hour for each lesson. Some experience tutoring small children and younger schoolmates. Suitable for students studying GCSE or A level.
