About David
I particularly enjoy working with students one-on-one or in small group settings, either remotely or in person. I have taught remotely for two years by Zoom .
My teaching methods have in no small part been shaped by the ability to bring my industrial experience into the classroom. One of the most valuable attributes I can provide is accessibility. When I taught full time, the College mandated that faculty offer 3 office hours per week; I offered 20 hours per week.

My teaching method is based on collaborative problem solving, not lectures. Typically, I review topics of concern with the student and then guide them to a mastery of material through selective problem solving techniques.
This technique has worked at all levels (freshmen - grad students)
I particularly enjoy working with students one-on-one or in small group settings, either remotely or in person. I have taught remotely for two years by Zoom . During the last 18.5 years, I have worked with more than 50 undergraduate research students. Twenty-six of these students are co-authors on published work.
