# About Me
Hi, I’m Kailey! I am a practical nursing student with a strong academic background in English, writing, communication, and healthcare. I completed a year of college coursework before beginning my practical nursing program, where I have continued developing my knowledge in Anatomy & Physiology and Nursing Fundamentals.
My academic experience includes Creative Writing, Rhetorical Communication, Psychology, Sociology, Global Issues, American Government, and other college-level courses. I also write and perform poetry in my community, which has strengthened my communication, writing, and presentation skills.
I am passionate about helping students feel confident in subjects that may initially seem difficult or overwhelming. I approach tutoring with patience, professionalism, and genuine encouragement, while adapting my lessons to each student's individual learning style and goals.
Whether you need help improving an essay, understanding a difficult concept, preparing for an exam, or developing better study habits, I want to help you leave each lesson feeling more confident than when you started.

My approach to tutoring is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student. I believe students learn best when they are actively involved rather than simply being given answers. I take the time to explain concepts in simple terms, connect them to real-life examples, and adjust my teaching style based on what works best for each student.
A typical lesson begins by identifying what the student is struggling with and reviewing the most important concepts. From there, I break the material into manageable sections, explain it step-by-step, and use questions, examples, practice exercises, and active recall to make sure the student truly understands the material. I also leave time at the end to review what we learned and identify anything that needs additional practice.
What sets me apart is that I understand what it feels like to be a student who is trying to balance difficult coursework and learn material that doesn't always come easily. I bring my own experience as a college student and practical nursing student into my tutoring.
My lessons are best suited for middle school, high school, and college students who need additional support with English, writing, grammar, reading comprehension, creative writing, study skills, introductory nursing concepts, or Anatomy & Physiology. I especially enjoy working with students who want to improve their confidence and genuinely understand the material rather than simply memorize it.
