About Alexandria
Hello everyone!
After living in Shanghai, China from November 2020 to April 2022, I have recently returned home to the United States. I lived in China as a student under New York University's campus in Shanghai, where I am currently a third year student. I went to China with absolutely no prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese and essentially learned it in a very unique way: both in an education and cultural setting.
As I've said in other sections, I am offering my services as a private tutor to anyone who is a beginner and struggling with Chinese. I received only A marks when taking Elementary 1 and 2 at NYU Shanghai and feel confident that I can help improve anyone's Chinese!

I have already completed levels Elementary 1 and 2 as well as Intermediate 1 and 2 from the standard Integrated Chinese textbook. I personally can resonate with the difficulties so many English speakers face in learning Mandarin. With practice, discipline, and fun, I found that anyone can learn Chinese.
I'm offering my services as a private Mandarin Chinese tutor for beginners (elementary levels 1 and 2). Typical lesson plans will consist of focusing on critical language learning building blocks such as: listening, writing and dictation, grammar, and speaking. Small quizzes would be created by me then given periodically to assess the student's strengths and what they need to work on.
I am taking any age groups, however I believe as I learned with teenagers/ adults, I would be especially beneficial as tutor to anyone in that age group.
