About Tammy

I am a second-year medical student who has always loved teaching. I began tutoring in undergraduate and continued to do so throughout my Master's program and now medical school. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2019, my Master's of Biomedical Science with a concentration in pharm. in 2021, and will be graduating Medical School in 2027. I love school and I absolutely love watching others fall in love with content they've once struggled with. I have helped students hone their skills which has allowed them to get into Nursing School, PA School, and NP programs. I look forward to working with you!

About the lesson

What sets me apart is my approach. No two students receive the same lesson plans despite learning the same content. I approach each student's sessions differently because we all learn differently. Our first lesson is primarily an opportunity for me to get to know the student: Has this subject always been difficult for them to grasp? Why do they think this is? etc. I also watch him or her engage with the content. This is an opportunity for me to gain some insight into what their strengths and weaknesses are. It is important for me to build my students' confidence. Students who believe they can grasp the content are more likely to do so! My lessons are for middle school - college-aged students who need assistance with Biology, English, and/or French courses. I tutor French from beginners to intermediate.
