About Philip
Hi, I’m Philip! I am an MSc Translational Neuroscience student at Imperial College London. Even though I work with brains and MRIs now, I actually studied Computer Science at the IB level myself, so I know the syllabus inside out (from the Case Study to the Internal Assessment). My approach is practical and results-driven: we identify your weak spots (whether it's OOP, recursion, or theory) and fix them. Outside of the library, I play volleyball and chess, bringing that same strategic mindset to our lessons to ensure you feel prepared and confident.

Computer Science is about logic, not just syntax. My lessons focus on clarity and hitting the specific points the mark scheme requires. I break down abstract theory into working logic so you can handle any question the exam throws at you. What do we cover? Theory: Full IB & A/AS Syllabus coverage. Exam Technique: Figure out how to write that "tricky" pseudocode and structure your answers for maximum marks. Coursework: Guidance on the IB Internal Assessment and A-Level projects. Format: Online (via Teams/Meet). Duration: Typically 60 minutes (flexible based on your needs). So, if you're an A-Level or IB student who understands the code but struggles with the theory papers (or vice versa), get in touch and we'll get you on the path to a Level 7 or A*. As an Imperial College Master's student, my goal is to simplify the complex topics so you can secure that top grade.
