About Olivia

As a student myself, I can understand and relate with younger students going through stressful exam periods or who just need an extra help outside of lessons. I have a true love and passion for English (and am currently still studying it for A-Levels, with hopes to complete an English Degree.) I am easy to get along with, patient, and would love to help you succeed, in however success looks to you.

About the lesson

To tackle English exams, we will go over the fundamentals of essay structure, how to make convincing arguments and analysis of poetry and prose (including how to spot and evaluate techniques.) Lesson length can vary based on the needs of the student and their confidence/understanding of topics. I have tutored younger children in English/Maths but feel comfortable tutoring secondary students, up to GCSE level. I can accommodate for students aiming for 4/5 vs 8/9.

Perfect! Olivia has just started tutoring my two primary school children, and she has been fantastic. She is really lovely, friendly with the kids, and has a great ability to teach them in a way that keeps them engaged.

I am friends and go to sixthform with Olivia. Luckily for me I sit next to her in philosophy, as on multiple occasions she has helped me understand some of the most complex theories. She would be an excellent tutor because Olivia can retain information like no one else I’ve ever met and has a unique ability to understand the links between different topics and pieces of information in a subject. Not only this but she also is excellent at comprehending exam specifications and techniques. These two combined abilities make her an amazing tutor to help not only with what you need for the exam, but actually comprehending the content so you are able to develop your points or use your knowledge in further education or similar subjects.
